Wednesday Half Day Walking – September Report

Fortunately, despite a really hot day for our walk from Twywell Hills & Dales Nature Reserve, there was a very welcome breeze whilst out in the open fields! Our search for ‘the shade of a coolibah tree’ for our coffee stop might have proved fruitless but the oak tree (pictured) provided a pretty decent alternative!  The route took us through Cranford St. John and Twywell village itself before entering the welcome shade of Twywell Plantation and finishing with a tricky walk along the gullet. Back at the car park some of us took advantage of the Barista Bus and enjoyed an ice cream or a coffee.
