The wind was obviously behind us from Welford as we made our way over Welford and Sulby Resevoirs and along the Jurassic Way to Sibbertoft.
We probably only realised this when returning via the bridleway and Shakespeare’s Avon Way as, at times, we battled against a strong wind. Not withstanding that, Avril and Joy had picked a fine sunny day for this month’s ‘sandwich’ walk; mostly pasture land to start and end with but some muddy fields to contend with in the middle around Sibbertoft. Anyway, by the time we returned to Welford the boots were virtually mud-free. A taster of things to come no doubt!
