Wednesday Half Day Walking – August report

What should have been a beautiful walk really was spoilt somewhat by the rain.

In front of Launde Abbey before our walk

Frank and Linda’s walk around the rolling countryside of Launde and Leighfield might have started off in the dry and for five of the six mile there were even dry spells intermingled with lightish rain BUT for the last mile or so the rain came on heavy and by the time we returned to our cars outside Launde Abbey most of us looked like drowned rats! As usual with our group though we carried on regardless and were still laughing when we got back. One of those walks that will stick in the memory!
