Once again we were blessed with a balmy, if a bit windy, day for our November walk from Geddington!
Nineteen of us set out across the fields ably led by Terry with Graham bringing up the rear. Much to many peoples’ relief only two stiles near the beginning were all that were encountered during the whole walk! Come on boys, you can do better than that!! What were tricky to navigate were a couple of rather long sugar beet fields with many of them popping up all over the footpath. You couldn’t just kick them to one side either!! A coffee stop was followed by a short cut down a track to Chase Farm where a friendly (fortunately for us) farmer pointed out that we weren’t actually on the public footpath but as we didn’t look too mischievous we were allowed to carry on! Joining the bridleway from Brigstock we made our way back to our cars through Geddington Chase where a few autumn colours were still on show. Thanks Terry and Graham for a lovely walk.
