Our next walk is on Thursday 16 May starting at 10.00 am. It will be from Upper Hambleton, Rutland. The walk will cover about 5.3 miles. It’s a circular route around the peninsula that stretches into Rutland Water there. We’ll follow the track near the shoreline, and end with an uphill path to the church with good views over to Oakham and the Wildlife Trust’s Egleton centre. The meeting point is the small triangular junction at the centre of the village near the church. From MH it’s about 40 minutes’ drive via Uppingham. Then at the first roundabout on the A6003 Oakham by-pass take the 3rd exit onto the A606 towards Stamford. After a short distance take the first right turn which leads to (Upper) Hambleton. We plan to finish by 12.30 pm. Please let us know if you would like to take part. New members welcome.
