At our May Monthly Zoom Meeting, speaker Ian Keable gave us an amusing, informative guide through the history of cartoons, from Hogarth to Private Eye.
In June, we welcome back Mark Temple who early in the year gave an interesting talk to the Local History group, on ‘Vanishing Windmills’ in Leicestershire.
This time Mark’s presentation is called ‘Stoneywell and the Gimsons’. Now owned by the National Trust, Stoneywell is a beautiful cottage in Ulverscroft, north Leicestershire. It was designed by Ernest Gimson, for his family in the 1890s. Gimson was one of the most influential figures of the Arts and Crafts Movement. Join us on Zoom for this fascinating talk. One not to be missed!
