Last month, Michael Milsom took us on a wonderful trip around the world with a talk on
his favourite ‘Eleven Great Squares of the World’. We visited sites of historical turbulence, of commemoration, and outstanding architecture, which included my favourite square, the Plaza Mayor, Salamanca.
This month on Monday, 10th May, we welcome Ian Keable. A comedy magician and speaker, who has given numerous talks to a variety of societies and organizations. We look forward to Ian’s talk on ‘The History of Cartoons – from William Hogarth to Private Eye’
Talks to look forward to later in the year. We hope at least some of these will be back in the Jubilee Hall:
Monday 13th September. ‘A Birder’s Year-Autumn and Winter’ Bruce White
Monday 11th October ‘Travelling the Pilgrim Routes to Santiago’ Ken & June Brazier
Monday 8th November ‘Working for Auntie’ Christine Green
