Fifty-two members enjoyed a memorable coach trip to Scotland where we stayed at the Ardgartan Hotel, which is superbly located at the end of Loch Long.
Memorable trips were a boat trip on the calm waters of The Kyles of Bute, fabulous views – weather a little overcast – but a magic journey. Next was a lovely day trip to Oban, and then Cruachan Power Station (inside a mountain), which was just amazing and again, lovely weather. Finally (again with lovely weather), a trip crossing Rannoch Moor and Glencoe, then a steam railway trip from Fort William to Mallaig. What a fantastic day we all had! Each evening we enjoyed the excellent food and entertainment on offer at Ardgartan Hotel.
Many thanks to Sheila for organising this trip and to our coach drivers. I am sure all of us will remember fondly all that we experienced on this superb holiday to Scotland. Ann & Peter Hartley.
