At our November Meeting we listened to short poems by Robert Browning, William Wordsworth, John Keats, Edward Thomas and Walter de La Mare complimented by music by Leonard Bernstein, Bedrich Smetana, Heiter Villa-Lobos, Antonio Vivaldi, Astor Piazzaro and Ferde Grofe. Although the ad-hoc nature of the morning produced some strange bed-fellows our members appeared to enjoy the experiment. It is hoped that a better rehearsed session could provide a new approach to Music and Poetry. Our next Meeting will be on January 26th as usual at 19 Westfield Close when we will get back to our normal programme of music both old and new.
