2021 has arrived and no doubt we’re all glad to put 2020 behind us and are looking forward to a brighter and better year. I hope you all had a restful Festive Season and were able to celebrate in some way. Unfortunately, the current restrictions mean that it will be a while until groups can become active again in their normal way, but the roll-out of new vaccines brings hope that we don’t have long to wait. In the meantime, many groups have planned to continue their Zoom meetings into the new year and the weekly schedule is filling up. The Local History group will be trying out Zoom for the first time this month, with future meetings planned. If you think your group would benefit from meeting in this way please let me know.
A new year could be the ideal opportunity for initiating a new group so, if you have ideas and/or skills you’d like to share with others, please do not hesitate to contact me. It could be a group which lends itself to ‘remote’ meetings for the time being, an outdoor activity or a project for the future when we can meet up face to face.
The past few months have shown that, despite the challenging situation we find ourselves in, SLU3A continues to have many active groups with committed leaders and members. I’m sure this will continue into 2021 and I wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year!
