Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, Cranbrook, Kent
Thu 12th May 2016
Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicholson fell in love with Sissinghurst Castle, moving here in 1932 and creating a world renowned garden. The history of the estate is diverse, beginning life as a Saxon pig farm; being used as a prison in the 1700s; and by the Womens Land Army during the war. Today the wonderful garden is looked after by a team of gardeners and volunteers. Sissinghurst is also a working farm with cattle, sheep and pigs and is home to many rare species of wildflowers, birds and insects.
Cost to non Trust members: £28.50

The coach will leave Market Harborough Bus Station at 8am and from Sissinghurst at 4.30pm.
