Usually we meet on the last Friday of the month, 2-4pm at St Nicholas Church, Little Bowden. It’s a friendly group with varying degrees of skill, from beginners to the very experienced, and new members are always welcome. Each month we read out our pieces and agree on a title for the following month. The style of writing is your choice: poetry, prose, a letter, a phone call, a rant, whatever the chosen title suggests to you. We try to limit the word-count to 600 so there is time to hear everyone’s piece. Our next meeting is on 24 February when the title is ‘Misunderstanding’. There is also the option of writing a story in exactly 50 words, on any subject of your choice. Chris Mosley & Jenny Porthouse.
