Bird Watching (Monday) – May meeting

We are a local (within one hour’s drive of Market Harborough) bird watching group who try to help each other improve our identification skills and which beginners are very welcome to join.  The third osprey egg in the Manton nest hatched about an hour and a half before we arrived on May’s visit to Lyndon but thanks to modern technology you can still watch the magic moment at  The website also tells the story of Maya, the mother of these three chicks, and has a live web-cam on the nest.  We also recorded ten more species (including the sweet sound of a nightingale) taking our 2016 total so far to eighty-six.

June’s visit will be on 20th June, meeting at Sywell Country Park pay & display car park at 10.00am.  For further information, please call me on the number below.
