Seven of the group decided that getting out into the fresh air and attempting to abide by the ‘social distancing’ rules was much better than being confined indoors! Whether we actually saw any birds as we wandered around Sywell Country Park was almost an irrelevance! Despite the cold, overcast, drizzly morning a few Chiffchaffs were singing. A couple of bursts from a nearby Cettis Warbler were heard but needless to say, unseen! Reed Buntings were around in abundance as were Great Tits around a feeder in the woods. A Kestrel provided splendid views as it perched in nearby trees between flights, hovering and landing down at the reed edge where it appeared to be eating something.
