In December we had our second group meeting on Zoom, when we enjoyed looking at Seascapes chosen by group members. There was a great selection of paintings including some by some lesser known artists and it was interesting to note the different ways of approaching the subject. Our topic for January is ‘Food and Drink’ and I look forward to another variety of work, chosen once again by members. We will continue our monthly meetings on Zoom until it is safe for us to meet properly. I have also been updating the group with suggestions for TV programmes and gallery websites which offer virtual exhibitions and articles.
The National Gallery have organised a talk for u3a members called Van Gogh in Arles, on Thursday 28th January at 11.00am. This event takes place on Zoom and the cost is £5.50. Full details are on the u3a website. www.u3a.org.uk/events/educational-events
Best wishes for a better 2021.
