Architecture – September

We meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 2.00pm in the Lounge at the Congregational Church.    At our meeting in August, Colin gave us a fascinating talk on ‘What did the Victorians ever do for us? – The Great Exhibition and Albertopolis.’  Our next meeting is on Tuesday 24 September when we will have another afternoon given over to ‘More of our Favourite Buildings’. The buildings we will be hearing about are St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia (Tony); Stockport Town Hall (Trish); Neville Holt Opera House – short listed for a Royal Institute of British Architects(RIBA) award for 2019; the Parish  Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Belton, Lincolnshire (Peter).

New members are always very welcome.  Please contact me if you are interested in joining the Group.
