Quite a few people contacted me to say that they had enjoyed the end of year quiz. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t have scored many points linking the architects to the correct building without a bit of help from Google.
For the last couple of months I’ve been doing some research to prepare a series of guided architecture walks. I had hoped that we could hold the first one in the next few weeks, but I think that will have to be postponed until Easter due to the spread of the new variant of the coronavirus.
Since we can’t get together for the walks, I thought I would sound you out about holding a meeting of the Architecture Group on Zoom. As the Architecture Group would usually meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month, I suggest that the first Zoom meeting will be on Tuesday 26 January at 2pm.
Please can you respond by email or by text message to let me know if you would like to participate in a Zoom meeting on the above date. If enough people would like to join the meeting, I will give a presentation on an architectural theme.
One of the lessons I’ve learned from attending online meetings is the need to keep presentations short, so my talk will be no longer than 30 minutes.
Since we can’t meet face to face, we don’t have the same limitations on the capacity of meeting rooms. So if you’re not a member of the Architecture Group but you think you might be interested, why not give it a try?
Anyway, please let me know by 12th January if you would like to join in with a meeting Architecture Group on Zoom.
