Papercraft and More

We are a friendly, small group of ladies enjoying the challenge of learning new skills, who would welcome new members.  We have a go at various crafts: paper folding, beading, using pins and sequins to decorate shapes and look forward to displaying our efforts at the Open Morning.  We are starting to make decorations and cards for Christmas.

Where and when

We meet at 10am on the first and third Friday of the month in Foxton Village Hall, Middle Street, Foxton.

Flower bouquets

Papercrafting and more – September

Despite the group leader not being available for some months ahead, the ladies are carrying on and enjoying themselves. They were given kebab sticks, cellophane, tissue paper and sweets and the results  were stunning bouquets of sweet flowers. These could be altered for Christmas by using Christmas papers and chocolates, or children could make them […]

Making contrast cards

Paper crafting and More – April

We have been busy as a group making cards, the several new members are enjoying the challenges that existing members are showing us how to do. The photo is a ‘work in progress’ as we are all getting stuck into making contrast cards, ably shown by Barbara Evans, thank you. We are very much a […]

Paper crafting and More – February

We have one or two new members and we all enjoyed making this card together. The use of a ruler and pencil was important and one or two found it a challenge but they coped with help from other members. We are very much a self help group which is important at the moment as […]

Paper crafting and more – December

Christmas is coming and the group got stuck into making a wreath from baubles. There was much hilarity as baubles ran away across the floor as fast as we tried to thread them onto the hangers. However, the final results were stunning and will definitely deck our halls this festive season. We are looking forward […]

Papercrafting and more – March

The group only had one meeting this month due to heavy snow. However, we met on one morning and had a fun time doing deco patch, tearing patterned papers into small pieces and sticking them onto a preformed shape. It was great to see the varied and colourful results. Our new member got well and […]

Papercrafting and More – December

This small friendly group met in November to make things for Christmas. We made lovely Christmas cards one day then on our second meeting we were shown how to make ‘bath bombs’ by one of the group. These are like the bath cubes we all know and love. The aromas in the room were wonderful, […]

Papercraft and More – October meetings

The group has been making Christmas and birthday cards this month and will continue next month, as well as making bath bombs, which make lovely gifts.  We meet at Foxton Village Hall on the first and third Fridays at 10-12.  We welcome new members, no experience is necessary, just have the ability to use paper, […]
