Having read a selection of poems of our own choice in March, we will look at Greetings (Hallo and Goodbye) in April. In May our topic will be ‘Murder’ (a first for us), which, as ever, can be taken literally or metaphorically! We meet in the Congregational Hall at 10am on the first Friday in […]
Having read poems on Wisdom in January, we will be thinking, probably very appropriately, about the Cold in February. In March we will give ourselves a free choice of poems, for a change. We meet at 10 am on the first Friday of the month in the Ashley Room and new members would be made […]
After expanding our knowledge of American poets in November, we have decided to be totally unoriginal and opt for ‘Christmas’ at our December meeting – possibly a first for this group. We meet on the first Friday of the month upstairs in the Congregational Church at 10am. New members would be made very welcome.
Having ‘Celebrated’ in December, we will be welcoming the New Year by reading poems on the theme of ‘Time’ in January.
Having lulled ourselves to ‘Sleep’ in November, we will wake up for the ‘Celebrations’ in December. That’s quite enough of that – we will be reading poems on the theme of ‘Time’ in January! Jill Hart.
Having made our own choice of poems in September, we are back to ‘Themes’ in October, when we we will be reading poems about ‘Animals’. This will be followed in November, when the evenings will definitely be closing in, by ‘Sleep’. We meet on the first Friday of the month at 10am in the Bowden […]
Having celebrated all things American in July, we will be walking down memory lane with ‘Nostalgia’, in August. We meet on the first Friday of the month at 10am in the Bowden Room. Jill Hart.
