Card craft 2 – May

CARD CRAFT 2 We had two meetings as usual in April, when we concentrated on making cards for those more unfortunate times in our lives. First we tackled condolence cards and then in the next session we made a slightly unusual get well card featuring a spoonful of hearts(medicine) plus a general purpose card. Both […]

Card Craft 2 – May

We had two meetings as usual in April, when we concentrated on making cards for those more unfortunate times in our lives. First we tackled condolence cards and then in the next session we made a slightly unusual get well card featuring a spoonful of hearts(medicine) plus a general purpose card. Both were enjoyable sessions, […]

Cardcraft 2 – January 2019

Nothing new to report this time as we have just enjoyed a break. We shall have resumed our sessions on Thursday January 3rd at St Nicholas Church and I am sure I speak for us all, when I say, we shall be looking forward to more fun and creativity. Happy New Year. Vivian Hammond

christmas card with banner

Cardcraft 2 – November

The first session in October was a very worthwhile catch-up time. Then on October 18th we worked on a Christmas card sporting a banner, a little trickier to make than it looked, plus a gift tag useful at any time of year. We shall  have only one actual Cardmaking session in November on 1st, as […]

Cardcraft 2 – October

After a break in August, we resumed play as usual in September, on the 1st and third Thursday mornings in St. Nicholas Church, Little Bowden. We were all pleased to meet up again and had lots to chat about, which probably explains why a seemingly straightforward ‘star-shaped card’ was so frustrating to construct. The second […]

Cards

Card Craft 2 – August

After two most enjoyable sessions in July, one making box cards and the other trying our hand at folk painting, we are now taking a break until September 6th. We shall resume as usual on the first and third Thursday mornings in the month in St. Nicholas Church Upper Room. Vivian Hammond

bird houses

Card Craft 2 – July

On 7th June we made 3D bird houses which folded flat to fit into an envelope. A lovely project Carolyn. Thank-you. Due to holidays and outings clashing we were thin on the ground for our second session so contented ourselves with completing past kits and exchanging ideas (and gossip)!

Card Craft 2 – June

In May we had two sessions as usual, on the 1st and third Thursday mornings. On May 3rd we tackled ‘never-ending’ cards, requiring a great deal of concentration in order to achieve cards which folded this way and that way to provide four different decorated surfaces. ( It has occurred to me that perhaps these […]

Card Craft 2 – March

The cards we completed in February were a delight, a Daisy Delight in fact, during our first session, when we completed two birthday cards, but the design could be used for other occasions too. The second session it was ‘that cut-away staircase card’ which demanded a great deal of concentration, but with the addition of […]

Card Craft 2

In November, our last month for card making this year, we worked ( or is it played? ) very hard. During the first session we made two beautiful Christmas cards, one of which involved stamping on acetate and the other constructing a wreath from paper pentagon shapes, thus indulging another pastime close to the authors […]
