Bird Watching (Thursday) – November meeting

There were plenty of Winter visitors on show at Stanwick Lakes – a typical mix of wildfowl with passerines represented by fieldfare and redwing, gorging on the abundant supply of berries.  A great spotted woodpecker is always an attraction, a pair of them doubly so!  Our next outing is on the 15th December.  Bruce White.

Railway Exploration – October meeting

At our last meeting Tony Cook explained his researches into the opening and subsequent remains of a 19th century cross-country railway in Worcestershire, together with the associated family history of his great-uncle who was one of the first engine drivers on the then newly opened line.  At our next meeting on 16th November we will […]

The Treasury Team – November ramblings

The ‘Year 2017 Diaries Selling Like Hot Cakes’ department continues to do good business (within the framework of 24/7 !!!!!) and 3 Dunslade Close must have a close affinity to the former Windmill Theatre (so far as opening hours are concerned, that is).  Make contact with Margaret or David without delay so as to ensure […]
