The next walk on Tuesday, 2nd May, is a leisurely woodland walk a bit further away than usual, but worth it. Glapthorn is about 21 miles away via the A427. Please meet at Glapthorn village church, which is near Oundle. Please park on the road near the church. The walk will start at 10.15am and will be about five miles, it is over fields and through Short Wood, a beautiful ancient woodland which is carpeted with bluebells in the Spring. The walks are level but can be wet and muddy in places. After the walk we will drive a couple of miles down Glapthorn road to Oundle and will eat at the George Inn. Yes it is called the George! If you want to stay for lunch please choose from the menu here: George Inn Glapthorn menu and let me know your choice by Sunday, 30th April. There are two main meals for £14 or just choose from the rest of the menu. Diana Baxter.
