The next walk, which will be led by Ian and Sharon Webb, will be on 31st August starting at 10am from Swinford Corner. The start can be found by taking the A4304 through the villages to Walcote. On entering the village take the first left after passing the Black Horse pub and just before the Gulf Service Station onto the Swinford Road. At the first small junction bear right onto a straight stretch of road. Swinford Corner is just after the next sharp turn to the right. Park on the grass verge. The walk is approximately 8 miles and takes us through Swinford and Walcote. The terrain is fairly flat but there are a couple of climbs. There are about 15 stiles spread throughout the walk and in some locations it is overgrown with odd clumps of nettles. The pub stop will be at the Black Horse at Walcote. Eddie & Edith Dixon.
