The Railway Exploration Group meets at 10.30am on the third Wednesday of the month at the Bowling Club on Kettering Road and our next meeting will be on Wednesday, 17th August. Recent meetings have included a field trip to the privately restored station at Lowesby, a visit to a fine local collection of railway memorabilia, ongoing presentations about WW1 ambulance trains and our continuing study of the toponomy of railway stations. Our latest venture is a DVD of detailed mapping of Harborough railway station in its heyday. New members always welcome – come along for a taster session if you are interested. Do contact me for further details. Phil Danks.
