Railway Exploration – October meeting

At our last meeting Tony Cook explained his researches into the opening and subsequent remains of a 19th century cross-country railway in Worcestershire, together with the associated family history of his great-uncle who was one of the first engine drivers on the then newly opened line.  At our next meeting on 16th November we will be looking at some fresh photos of our local closed railway and delve into some other aspects of railway history.  New members are always welcome – come along for a taster session if you are interested but please note that we do not meet in December.  Phil Danks.
