Local History – June

In May, we had very interesting talk from Bob Trubshaw on Little-known Leicestershire and Rutland. Concentrating on the Standing Stones, Holy Wells, Ancient Crosses and Medieval Carvings, within the 2 counties and discussing their history and legends and position.

There is no meeting in the Hall in June. Instead 44 Members of the Group have booked to visit Holdenby Hall

The Hall is situated betweenthe A428 and A5199,near East Haddon. The tour wiil commence at 2.30pm, so please aim to arrive about 2.00pm.

For the 22 members booked on the Minibuses, they are due to leave the Market Hall at 1.30pm.
