July outing report

A change from our usual sort of July habitat was to go to Fermyn Woods Country Park. Birds, as expected, were few and far between but the variety of butterflies on the wing made up for that. At least twelve different species were seen with White admiral, White-letter hairstreak (pictured) and two differently coloured Silver-washed fritillaries the cause of much excitement as they were all new species to most of us!
