Trips: The Bluebell Woods, Felley Priory
Mon May 15£16.75
Felley Priory consists of a 2½ acre Garden and Bluebell Wood, Nursery and Tea Room.
Join us this spring to see the stunning bluebells in the woods, specially opened for us, above Felley Priory. Please note: the woods are a 15-minute walk from the main garden up a steep hill, so it is not recommended for the less able-bodied, but the views are tremendous!
After an introductory talk, we will be free to explore this tranquil 2½ acre ‘garden for all seasons’, nestled in beautiful rolling countryside and one of Nottinghamshire’s best kept secrets. It has been carefully planted to create interest all year round.
The nursery is very, very reasonable and sells rare and unusual plants and cottage favourites featured in the garden. Refreshments, light lunches, cake and drinks are available from the Farmhouse Tea Shop, but service can be very slow.
The coach will leave Market Harborough bus station at 9am, returning from the gardens at 4pm. Please make cheques payable to SLU3A.
