Bird Watching – October meeting

En route to Lyndon (Rutland Water) last month as the visibility got worse and worse I was thinking ‘oh no, not a third disaster in a row!’  However, the morning turned out to be very productive despite only being able to see half-way across Manton Bay.  The first redwing, redpoll and siskin of the winter, plus dunlin, redshank, stonechat, water rail, grey wagtail and everything else made turning out on such an unpromising day all very worthwhile.  November’s meeting is on 16th.  Bruce White.
