Bird Watching – December

Last month at Pitsford Water we finally got a decent morning of weather and birds! Amongst all the wildfowl a solitary green sandpiper was spotted and in the woods a great spotted woodpecker. Perhaps the biggest surprise of all, and never before seen by any of us, was what can only be described as a flotilla of 35 little grebes.
This month’s meeting is on the 21st – the shortest day!
