Card Craft (No 2)

At our first meeting of the month we made ingenious cards each using three circles, folded, stuck together and fanned out to make a very attractive card.  There were fewer of us at the next session but a lovely time was had by all, doing our own thing (with cards, of course )!  We were […]

Card Craft (No 2) – March meetings

The March report already!  We are officially in Spring, although you could be forgiven for thinking it is summer here, as I write this from Liverpool.  What has that to do with cardmaking you may ask?  Not a lot, except that I was getting inspiration this morning for future projects as I was out and […]

Card Craft (No 2) – February meetings

As I write this, February is drawing to a close.  The daffodils are in full bloom, hopefully heralding the advent of Spring.  This brings me nicely to our card making efforts for February.  On 16th we enjoyed revisiting our ‘stained glass’ effect techniques with some of us producing cards portraying daffodils.  On 2nd we had […]

Card Craft (No 2) – January meetings

We made a good start to the new year on January 5th, when it was nice to meet again after our Christmas break, to share ideas and generally enjoy doing our own thing.  Then in the next session, it was on to more serious stuff.  Coughing, sneezing, laughing (and breathing, almost) were banned, as we […]

Card Craft (No 2) – December meeting

We had just one meeting in December, when we really enjoyed our attempts at decopatch with very pleasing results.  We shall start the new year gently with a share session, helping each other and catching up with unfinished projects.  Then who knows what we have in store?!  Viv Hammond & Carolyn Youdan.

Card Craft (No 2) – November meetings

In November we had a really productive time.  During the first session we made two beautiful cards as demonstrated by one of our members, then in the other session we were shown how to make fairly straightforward, but very effective, Christmas cards.  We have only one session in December when we shall have a play, […]

Card Craft (No 2) – October meetings

In October we had a good time as usual.  During the first session we were given a card and a gift bag to decorate with a Rennie Mackintosh design, materials provided.  It is always interesting to see the different styles emerge on these occasions.  Well done everyone! The next session was equally satisfying when we […]

Card Craft (No 2) – September meetings

In September, everyone seemed happy to be back at card making after the August break.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, firstly making cards, one with a leafy theme incorporating Zentangle design and the other a thank you card using a small paper doily and rubber stamping technique.  During the second session we were very ably led […]

Card Craft (No 2) – July & August meetings

In July we made a London scene box card courtesy of Jill.  Thank you so much.  Then on the 21st, having relocated to Carolyn’s home, we had a fun morning making suitcase gift boxes and wandering round her lovely garden drinking coffee.  Thanks go to her and her husband for their hospitality. In August there […]

Card Craft (No 2) – June meeting

We are fast approaching our summer break – there are no meetings in August.  Our June cards were a delight as ever.  After a productive session spent doing individual projects (some of which were catch-up ones), we dabbled once again with a Zentangle design.  Thank you Sue for a most enjoyable demonstration!  The next meeting […]
