No official cardmaking in August, but I am sure that has not stopped production by members of our group. We did however have two most enjoyable social events on what would have been our cardmaking session days. We met as a group for coffee and garden tours at the homes of two of our members […]
Having been busy in July making camera, monster and seaside cards, we are now taking a break until September 7th, when we shall resume as usual on the first and third Thursday morning in the month, at St. Nicholas Church. Vivian Hammond & Carolyn Youdan.

June has passed in a flash, with perhaps less activity than usual on the cardmaking front. Having said that, the first session in the month was gentle but productive. We made lovely summery cards portraying poppies and birds, using paper serviettes. A huge success! During the second it was ‘do it yourself ‘, a fun […]
At our meetings in May our subject matter seemed to centre on ‘flight’. Firstly, we enjoyed making cards portraying beautiful feathers made by ourselves from paper. Then in the next session great concentration was needed when we were shown how to make a box-shaped card with butterflies soaring from it. A lovely project! Vivian Hammond […]
At our first meeting of the month we made ingenious cards each using three circles, folded, stuck together and fanned out to make a very attractive card. There were fewer of us at the next session but a lovely time was had by all, doing our own thing (with cards, of course )! We were […]
The March report already! We are officially in Spring, although you could be forgiven for thinking it is summer here, as I write this from Liverpool. What has that to do with cardmaking you may ask? Not a lot, except that I was getting inspiration this morning for future projects as I was out and […]
As I write this, February is drawing to a close. The daffodils are in full bloom, hopefully heralding the advent of Spring. This brings me nicely to our card making efforts for February. On 16th we enjoyed revisiting our ‘stained glass’ effect techniques with some of us producing cards portraying daffodils. On 2nd we had […]
We made a good start to the new year on January 5th, when it was nice to meet again after our Christmas break, to share ideas and generally enjoy doing our own thing. Then in the next session, it was on to more serious stuff. Coughing, sneezing, laughing (and breathing, almost) were banned, as we […]
We had just one meeting in December, when we really enjoyed our attempts at decopatch with very pleasing results. We shall start the new year gently with a share session, helping each other and catching up with unfinished projects. Then who knows what we have in store?! Viv Hammond & Carolyn Youdan.
