Bridge (Tuesday pm) – December/January

The improvers group continues to flourish and new members are welcome, just ring the number below if you are interested in joining us.  We are a friendly group and we  play rubber bridge from 2-4pm  in the  Ashley Room. We close for Christmas December 19th 2017 and will be open again on January 2nd 2018.

Play Reading (Modern) – December

For our final meeting of the year (Tuesday 19th December) we‘ll be reading a short play and then getting into festive mood with sausage rolls, mince pies etc – particularly if we all remember to bring something!  Please note that until further notice our meetings will be held in the lounge instead of the usual venue.

Music Appreciation (Friday) – November/January

At our November Meeting we listened to short poems by Robert Browning, William Wordsworth, John Keats, Edward Thomas and Walter de La Mare complimented by music by Leonard Bernstein, Bedrich Smetana, Heiter Villa-Lobos, Antonio Vivaldi, Astor Piazzaro and Ferde Grofe.
